"I can see it. Wow, it is so cool," exclaimed a Wea Ridge Elementary student looking up to the sky wearing his eclipse-viewing glasses. Many students and teachers were worried they would not get a chance to view the historic cosmic event as heavy clouds and scattered showers lingered into the afternoon.
Throughout the day classes spent time learning about the eclipse and ventured outside with their approved viewing glasses when the clouds parted around 2:30 p.m. It is certainly a science lesson many students will never forget!
