Harrison High School has named eight students as the valedictorians for the Class of 2024. They are Maria Aboujaoude, Carter Blankenship, Nicholas Castellana, Blake Cherkauer, Richard De La Cruz-Balcazar, Emma Gu, Shawn Sinoro and Ethan Weaver.

Of the eight graduates, four plan to stay close to home and attend Purdue University. Others plan to attend the University of Notre Dame, Colorado State, the US Naval Academy and Indiana University. The areas of study range from engineering and chemistry to wildlife science and nursing.

The valedictorians will be honored at commencement ceremonies June 2 at Purdue University.
